OwlPoint recently celebrated its 8th anniversary. I can’t believe it’s been that long! I remember clearly when we launched OwlPoint after putting together our business plan, setting strategy, determining our services and offerings, identifying target customers, establishing a financial plan, etc. It was an exciting time, but obviously one of great uncertainty, especially when you launch a company a few weeks before the financial crash of 2008.
Fast forward to today’s anniversary and we can look back on some wonderful success stories. OwlPoint reached many of the goals and objectives we set eight years ago. We have had the honor of being strategic advisors to many national and global firms, and have helped smaller organizations and start-ups transform their business through an IT revolution.
As we enter our ninth year, we realize that it is time for change. This anniversary marks an opportunity for growth. Times change, business changes, and to ensure that OwlPoint stays ahead of the curve, we’re changing. Our services will stay primarily the same and our goal is still to help companies achieve business value through building efficient and effective IT organizations.
One change is that we will no longer focus on Green IT like we did early in OwlPoint’s history. Much of those efforts are embedded in efficient process design and moving capabilities to the cloud. However, we are still very much focused on helping companies with their IT Strategy and strategic planning. We continue to work with IT organizations to establish solid governance, enabling companies to manage their IT services and the organization as well. This is also an area where we help companies create consistent and effective IT processes, leveraging ITSM and ITIL best practices in most cases.
Frankly, we are one of the best IT service management consultancies in the industry. In plain speak, we help IT organizations get things done, whether it is by providing project management, leadership or some specific technical knowledge.
One of the most noticeable changes is our new website. To be frank, our previous one has been outdated for a while and was in desperate need of an revamp. Our new website is mobile friendly and we are able to provide more frequent updates to content, including incorporating this blog into the website instead of through another service. We plan on even more enhancements in the near future.
All of us at OwlPoint look forward to continuing to build the company and look forward to all of the different opportunities in the future to help our clients.
